Halal
Azerbaijan is Muslim-majority, so halal is the default in most kitchens. In Georgia we book halal-friendly restaurants and can arrange halal meat throughout — tell us in advance and it is handled.
Vegetarian & Jain
Georgian cuisine is unusually vegetarian-friendly — beans, aubergine, mushrooms, cheeses and salads. For Jain travellers we brief kitchens on onion, garlic and root-vegetable restrictions before you arrive.
Wine and the rest
Georgia is the birthplace of wine, so tastings are woven into Kakheti days — but non-drinkers are always well catered for, and the coffee and mineral water are excellent everywhere.
