When to go

Both countries are year-round. Spring and autumn are the sweet spot for touring; summer is beach and high-mountain season; winter is for skiing and cities.

Spring & autumn (Apr–Jun, Sep–Oct)

The best all-round window — mild, green, and the mountain passes are open. Ideal for combined city-and-Caucasus itineraries.

Summer (Jul–Aug)

Hot on the lowlands and coast (Baku, Batumi), perfect in the high mountains (Svaneti, Kazbegi, Shahdag). We route around the heat.

Winter (Dec–Mar)

Ski season at Gudauri, Bakuriani and Shahdag, and the cities are atmospheric and quiet. Some high passes (Jvari, Abano) can close briefly.

What's Georgia's weather like in August?
August is hot on the lowlands and coast — Tbilisi, Batumi and Baku can reach the low-to-mid 30s °C — but it's perfect up in the high mountains (Svaneti, Kazbegi, Shahdag), which stay cool and green. For August trips we route around the heat: cities in the mornings, mountains or coast in the afternoons and nights.
When is the best time for Indian travellers?
Many Indian guests travel in the summer holidays (Jun–Aug) — great for swapping the monsoon heat for the cool Caucasus, and for the Batumi coast. Spring and autumn are quieter and best for sightseeing. Tell us your dates and we'll shape the route to the season.
