Georgians adore children — you will feel it everywhere, from restaurants that produce a high chair before you ask to strangers who fuss over the baby. Here is how we make a family trip genuinely easy: cots, extra beds, car seats, things to keep them busy and the parks worth the detour.

Free cots in almost every mid- and upper-range hotel; guesthouses can usually borrow one with a day’s notice. Tell us ages at booking and we confirm each property in writing.
Rollaway or sofa beds in family and triple rooms, often free for under-6s and a small charge above. We block interconnecting rooms where they exist.
Infant, toddler and booster seats fitted to any private transfer or tour vehicle — just give us weights and ages. Georgian law requires seats for under-12s / under 135 cm.
Standard in city restaurants and hotel dining rooms. Rural family guesthouses are more relaxed but always accommodating.
Keeping them entertained
Mtatsminda amusement park on the hill (Ferris wheel, rides, big lawns), the cable car and funicular, Dedaena and Rike parks, and the puppet theatre with its animated clock tower.
The boulevard bikes and mini-train, Batumi Aquarium and dolphinarium, 6 May Park with its lake and small zoo, and shallow beach days at Ureki’s magnetic black sands.
Cave cities at Uplistsikhe and Vardzia (kids love the tunnels), the Prometheus Cave boat ride near Kutaisi, horse riding in Kakheti and easy cable cars in the mountains.
Family-friendly parks & days out
Springs, a little cable car and forest paths — the gentlest introduction to Georgia’s national parks.
Dinosaur footprints, a glass viewing platform and a short easy cave — a sure hit with younger children.
Buggy-friendly lakeside and valley walks in Kakheti, no altitude, plenty of shade.
