Kolkheti protects the Colchic wetlands and forest on the Black Sea coast — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape and a Ramsar wetland of international importance. Thousands of water birds pass through on the migration between Eurasia and Africa, peaking in late spring and early autumn.
The way to see it is from the water: boat and kayak tours on Paliastomi Lake and the Pichori river — the “Georgian Amazon” — with fly fishing and birdwatching alongside.
