The shape of the trip

Ten days is enough to pair Baku with the mountains and the Silk Road without rushing. We build every itinerary around your flights, so treat this as a frame, not a fixed tour.

Days 1–3: Baku and Absheron

Start in Baku — the walled Old City (Icherisheher), the Flame Towers and the seaside boulevard — with a day on the Absheron peninsula for Yanar Dag's burning hillside and the Ateshgah fire temple, and a half-day at Gobustan's ancient petroglyphs and mud volcanoes.

Days 4–7: Shamakhi, Sheki and the north-west

Head inland via the Shamakhi wine country to Sheki, the Silk Road town with its stained-glass Khan's Palace and a caravanserai you can sleep in; the coppersmiths' village of Lahij fits on the way.

Days 8–10: Gabala, Ganja or the Caspian

Finish with mountain Gabala (the Tufandag cable car, Nohur Lake), a run west to Ganja — Nizami's city — or a return to the Caspian coast. We tailor the last stretch to your pace and interests.
