Cheap flights to Baku — the budget guide
Baku is well connected and increasingly cheap to reach — low-cost carriers from Europe, the national airline and short Gulf hops. How to find the fare.
Airlines into Baku
Baku's Heydar Aliyev International (GYD) is served by the national carrier AZAL and its low-cost arm, plus European budget airlines such as Wizz Air and Ryanair on some routes, and short direct hops from the Gulf. Routes and fares change, so we check live options for your dates.
From Europe and the Gulf
From the Gulf, Baku is a short direct flight from Dubai, Doha and other hubs. From Europe, low-cost carriers run seasonally from several cities, and one-stop routes via Istanbul are always an option. We compare the live picture rather than quote a fixed answer.
After you land
Baku's airport is about 20–25 km from the centre, and we meet you on arrival with a transfer timed to your actual flight. From there, the Old City, Absheron and Gobustan are all close, so day one is easy to fill.
