Is Georgia Muslim-friendly?

Georgia is a Christian country, but it's an easy place to travel as a Muslim — halal food, mosques and respectful hospitality. What to expect, and what we arrange.

Halal food

Tbilisi and Batumi have halal restaurants, and pork is easy to avoid across Georgian cuisine, which leans on grilled meats, beans, cheeses and bread. We book halal-friendly kitchens and arrange halal meat across a trip, planned in advance rather than improvised.

Mosques and prayer

Tbilisi's Juma Mosque in the Old City is well known for Sunni and Shia praying together, and there are mosques in Batumi and other towns. We build prayer times into the day and point you to places to pray.

Travelling comfortably

Georgians are famously hospitable, and a Muslim traveller is easily accommodated with a little planning — convenient timings, a family pace, female guides on request and Ramadan-aware scheduling. For effortless halal next door, Azerbaijan is Muslim-majority.
